Grants to Maryland nonprofit organizations in eligible areas for projects and programs that promote local tourism. Funding priority is intended for activities that improve tourism objectives and strengthen partnerships with other attractions, organizations, or initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents of Charles County and its visitors. Grants may be used for producing mission-based activities such as programs, exhibits, workshops, and special events, or for strategic planning and marketing activities.
Funds may be requested to support or match Maryland State and Federal By-ways and Heritage Trail interpretive signage initiatives. To receive funding in multiple grant cycles for the execution of a previously funded program, exhibit, workshop, special event, strategic planning, or marketing activity, the applicant must show significant expansion over the previous year's activity.
