Through trauma-informed, holistic services that support emotional and spiritual well-being while honoring individual choice, we walk alongside survivors as they pursue lives of independence, hope, and lasting stability.
Programs or services
The Lighthouse—A Healing Place provides safe, noncongregate shelter and supportive services for women and children experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, abuse, trauma or other crises.

Residents receive individualized support and connections to legal, medical, counseling, educational, employment and permanent-housing resources. We also help families develop practical life skills, financial stability and a sustainable plan for independent living after leaving the shelter.

Our renovated campus will include nine family-style suites, two studio living spaces, shared community areas and transitional housing. Through a Christ-centered, trauma-informed approach, The Lighthouse works to provide stability, restore dignity and empower each resident to move from crisis toward healing and lasting
Target Audience
Our target audience is women and children in Mayfield, Graves County and the surrounding Western Kentucky region who are experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, abuse, trauma or another crisis. This includes mothers with children, individual women and small families who need immediate safety, stable housing and supportive services.
