102 Foundations that have given Community and Economic Development grants in Maryland

TO HELP THOSE LESS FORTUNATE IN OUR COMMUNITY BY EMPOWERING THOSE IN NEED THROUGH COMPASSIONATE EMERGENCY CARE, LIFE EDUCATION, AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. ACSGW CURRENTLY PROVIDES CASE MANAGEMENT, FOOD, CLOTHING, EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, HEALTH AND FITNESS PROGRAMS, TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION, AND JOB-TRAINING.

THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORS VARIOUS PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WHICH ARE DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THE PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT, MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL HEALTH OF CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES THROUGH EDUCATION, ATHLETIC AND SUPPORT PROGRAMS. SUCH PROGRAMS INCLUDE YOUTH FOOTBALL, HARVEST FESTIVAL, AND SPIRITUAL REALM. THIS YEAR ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS INCLUDED BALTIMORE CITY COLLEGE AWARDS BANQUET AND MERVO HIGH SCHOOL COMMENCEMENT.

ORGANIZED TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THOSE IN NEED. THE CENTER OFFERS SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN THE AREA OF EMERGENCY FOOD, RENT, AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE. THE CENTER ALSO ADVOCATES FOR INDIVIDUALS SEEKING ASSISTANCE FROM ESTABLISHED SOCIAL PROGRAMS.

1. To provide relief and rehabilitation services in Southeast Asia by helping the victims of natural calamities/disasters in terms of building shelters, providing food and clothing, and supporting the health and education of children. 2. To provide safe drinking water to underprivileged populations in remote areas of Southeast Asia by installing hand, solar pumps, and electric water pumps. 3. To provide economic stability for impoverished households by offering revival of livelihood grants. 4. To provide education and health facilities for the children of impoverished households in Southeast Asia. 5. To support, collaborate and cooperate with other philanthropic and charitable organizations to achieve similar aims and objectives in other disaster-prone and underprivileged areas of the world. 6. To promote a friendly image of the USA among the Southeast Asian people through relief and rehabilitation activities during disasters and development activities under normal circumstances.
