CHARITABLE WORK TO HELP PEOPLE IN NEED

HARFORD COUNTY EDUCATION FOUNDATION INVESTS IN THE SUCCESS OF OUR STUDENTS BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES TO PROVIDE EVERY CHILD, REGARDLESS OF BACKGROUND, FAMILY STRUCTURE OR ECONOMIC STATUS, THE OPPORTUNITY TO ACHIEVE PERSONAL SUCCESS.HARFORD COUNTY EDUCATION FOUNDATION INVESTS IN THE EDUCATION OF 38,000 YOUTH IN HARFORD COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES TO COMPLEMENT THE LEARNING AND GROWTH OF EACH STUDENT REGARDLESS OF THEIR ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES. WE BELIEVE EVERY CHILD SHOULD HAVE THE OPTIMAL FRAMEWORK TO ACHIEVE PERSONAL SUCCESS.THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION WORKS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE COMMUNITY TO BRING CRITICAL RESOURCES TO HELP STUDENTS SUCCEED IN THEIR ACADEMIC AND PERSONAL GOALS THROUGH MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS, COLLEGE AND CAREER MENTORING, SCHOLARSHIPS, FREE SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR LOW INCOME STUDENTS, GRANTS TO SUPPORT INNOVATIVE CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION, AND CELEBRATING THE EDUCATION PROFESSION WITH THE COMMUNITY.

The Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians, Inc. (AMFM) provides support to qualifying Annapolis-area based musical arts education programs and provides temporary financial relief on an as-needed basis to professional Annapolis-area musicians. The financial relief is intended to ensure that a loss of work by a qualifying musician will not result in financial collapse. That safety net provides rare security for musicians, creating an opportunity for them to pursue musical artistry with a greater degree of assurance and equanimity, benefiting the Annapolis musical arts community at large by benefiting the musicians themselves. AMFM also created a Catastrophic Fund, which provides financial assistance to Annapolis-area musicians who have suffered or are dealing with a catastrophic loss or injury that prevents them from applying their craft in the long term.
